Two Walthamstow men have been charged following the discovery of more than 500 cannabis plants at a Tottenham property.
Martin McCloskey, 55, and Steven Gribben, 35, both of Forest Road, were charged last Friday with production of cannabis after the plants were found by police at the commercial premises in Tottenham High Road on May 1.
Both men appeared at Highgate Magistrates Court on May 3. McClusky was remanded in custody and Gribben was released on unconditional bail, both to appear again on May 12.
Detective Sergeant Yasser Awad of the Haringey Drugs Focus Unit said: "We are committed to tackling all types of drug misuse and those who are intent on producing drugs. The discovery of this factory and the seizure of plants will have prevented a large amount of cannabis reaching the streets."
