A FORMER pizza delivery boy who fancied a slice of the action of running his own store has now won an award.
Antony Tagliamonti, of Woodford Green, started out as a Domino's pizza delivery boy when he was 17 but had ambitions of running his own store.
Now 27, he now runs stores in Chingford, Woodford Green, Gants Hill and Borehamwood.
His hard work was recognised when he beat of stiff competition to win the gold winner's trophy and a cheque for £5,000 at the annual Franchisee of the Year Awards, run by the HSBC and the British Franchise Association (BFA).
Mr Tagliamonti, who is the youngest Franchisee of the Year during the award's history, said: "This is one of the proudest moments of my life and terrific recognition for my team who have worked so hard to achieve this success."
