A MAN has been charged with drugs possession following a series of anti-gang raids.

Winston Cass, 23, was one of four men arrested across Waltham Forest during the police operation at dawn on Thursday (November 8).

Cass, of Queens Road in Walthamstow, is accused of possession of heroin, a Class A drug, and cannabis, which is a Class B.

Two 17-year-olds were also arrested in Leytonstone on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug.

They have now been released on bail.

A 15-year-old boy, from the Walthamstow area, was given a warning for possession of cannabis.

Two other properties were also raided but no-one was arrested.

Waltham Forest Police carried out the operation supported by officers from the Met's Territorial Support Group and the Trident Gang Crime Command.

They recovered 150 wraps of Class A drugs during the raids.
