Bands wanted for new music venue in Leytonstone

A PUB which is hoping to reinvent itself as a live music venue is appealing for bands and promoters in the community.

The Plough and Harrow, in Leytonstone High Road, is currently having a new sound system installed and wants to hear from acts that may be interested in playing.

The venue, which has a capacity of up to 200, also hopes to host a variety of other nights in future, including poetry and film, but is keen to start off with local bands which play their own material.

Email the pub's booking agent 'Spoon' on spoon@soundeventsolutions.co.uk for more information.

A fortune has been spent on the Plough and Harrow in recent years, and it looks very nice now. Can't be many pubs in East London which specialise in Sicilian Food. It used to be a very er, 'earthy' pub too - almost as bad as the truly scary Croppy Acre down the road. Good luck to them.

This could be a good thing down the Ghost Town area of South Leytonstone, would be advisable to get a taxi home to avoid the muggers and drug dealers who lurk around after dark.

I wondered what happened to the Dog Loaded further along the Road as they use to have live Bands and was run by a South African Company.

I noticed it as it is near the Eels Mashes and Pies and Pease pudding Emporium, where I occasionally venture to have some of the aforementioned foods with lashings of gravy's which is a must for a Friday afternoon.

The only one we should worry about here is you lurking around streets in WF with your Cranberry Tinted Spectacles.
