A professional sculptor who creates artworks out of carpet swapped his cutting tools for a thick pair of gloves to mould a figure out of snow last weekend.
Charles Clarke, 60, of St John’s Road in Chingford, spent five hours with his daughter in minus zero temperatures on Sunday to sculpt the figure of a father carrying his son on his shoulders outside his house.
Mr Clarke and daughter Carmella even gave their creations some hats and a scarf to keep them warm in the snow.
The professional sculptor, who has created horse heads and even Batman and Robin out of carpet through his business, Enfield-based Carpet Workshops, said: “I like sculpting out of anything and it was good fun to give it a go.
“It’s about family time and unity, a typical scene of family enjoying the snow together. It took us a while but it’s definitely easier than making things from carpet.”
