A quiz night to raise money for Oxfam is due to take place early next month.

Businesses in Waltham Forest have donated prized for The East London Oxfam Fundraising Group’s event at Leyton Sixth Form College in Essex Road, Leyton, on Friday, February 8.

This is the second quiz night the group will have held at the college.

Group chair Carla Acket said: “Last time more than 100 people enjoyed the evening and we raised £1,200.  This year we are hoping to do even better.

“We would love to welcome teams from businesses that have donated raffle prizes but you don’t have to bring a team, you can book a place as an individual and team up with others on the night.”

Tickets cost £12 to the event, where restaurant The Star of India will be providing a hot buffet included in the ticket price.

Drinks and glasses must be brought by ticketholders themselves.

To book tickets please call 8556 9114.
