Police are appealing for information after a 56-year-old cyclist was killed in a hit and run crash.
The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after being involved in a collision with a silver Peugeot 206 in Gainsborough Road, Leytonstone, at around 6.30am on Saturday.
The driver of the car fled the scene and the car was found abandoned in Bushwood shortly after the accident.
It is believed the occupants in the car left the vehicle and ran across Wanstead Flats.
Officers visited an address in Leyton after making enquiries and arrested three male teenagers, aged 16, 18 and 19.
The three teenagers were taken to an east London police station and have now been bailed to return in early May pending further enquiries.
The cyclist's next of kin have been informed, but formal indentification is yet to take place.
A post mortem is scheduled and an inquest will open and adjourn shortly.
Detective Sergeant Mark Robson, leading the investigation, said: "I am appealing for anyone who saw the collision or the events leading up to the collision to come forward.
"I am also keen to speak to anyone who saw a silver Peugeot 206 being driven between Gainsborough Road and Bushwood shortly after the collision.
"The vehicle would have sustained noticeable damage to the front following the collision.
"If you saw anything, please contact my team."
