A church has invited people to mark the end of winter with an evening of songs and entertainment.

The South Chingford Congregational Church in Chingford Mount Road is holding the event on Friday, March 15, when Reverend Malcolm Boulter will introduce singers and local acts to mark the beginning of Spring.

The church will provide refreshments, and asks for a donation of £7 for the event, which begins at 7.30pm.

Anyhow, according to the news today, winter is going on through March so better celebrate in April.
