Woman 'murdered' in home named by police
A woman found dead in a Leyton home has been named by police.
The body of Aamena Hussain, 28, was discovered at the property in Grove Green Road just after 3.30am on Tuesday.
A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and is being questioning by police.
The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
The Met says there was previous contact between police, the victim and the suspect.
The IPCC has now confirmed it will investigate.
A post-mortem examination was held at Queens Road Mortuary in Walthamstow on Tuesday but a cause of death was not established.
The Met says it is awaiting the result of further toxicology tests.
A spokesman added: "The death is being treated as suspicious and an incident room has opened at the Homicide and Major Crime Command under Detective Inspector John Nicholson."
