New child poverty strategy for Waltham Forest delayed
An event to discuss a new strategy to tackle child poverty in the borough has been postponed to accommodate a high level of interest.
In July 2013 national charity, the Child Poverty Action Group, were commissioned to help create a new child poverty strategy for Waltham Forest that would meet the needs of the borough’s poorest children.
The new strategy was due to go through the final stages of consultation at an event on Monday, but due to a high level of interest, the conference has been postponed to accommodate more people.
A new date for the conference is yet to be confirmed.
