CHINGFORD: Radical Muslims warn of violence

RADICAL Muslims warned of a “war of Islam” against the UK population in a backlash to the treatment of protesters during an anti-war protest in Luton.

A press conference was held in the Holiday Inn, Walthamstow Avenue, Chingford, in reaction to the arrests and widespread criticism of Islamist protesters who disrupted a home-coming parade for soldiers in Luton.

The protesters shouted at soldiers and waved placards with slogans including, "Butchers of Basra" and "Cowards, killers, extremists", causing enough disruption to stop the parade.

Controversial cleric Sheikh Omar Bakri, a former member of the disbanded extremist al-Muhajiroun who is banned from the UK, spoke by telephone conference at the meeting about the “very big hole” that British people are digging themselves in and warned that ‘a war of Islam’ will be waged against those who try to silence Muslims.

Mr Bakri said that Muslims are being silenced in this country whenever they try to speak about against the “atrocities committed by British soldiers serving in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars".

He said: “When you say something they don’t like, they will use violence against you. They don’t want to hear the truth.

“You will always condemn Muslims who want to help their brothers and sisters abroad.”

He continued: “The 1.5billion Muslims around the world don’t accept the society of masters and slaves. We will not accept that you are our masters and we are your slaves. If we are subservient to God and living with you and you guarantee sanctity for life, we guarantee it back.

“But the minute you start to fight against us you are digging a hole, and it is going to be a very big hole.

“Be careful. The moment we hear you are touching our brothers and sisters in the name of freedom of speech and you declare war against us, we will declare Islam against you.”

At the meeting, Anjem Choudary, also a former member of anti-semetic group al-Muhajiroun, also condemned the Iraq and Afganastan invasions and said the reaction to the Luton protesters proves that “freedom of democracy does not apply when it comes to Muslims”.

He said that his group was not involved in July 7 and would not carry out any terrorist attacks on the UK population, but that he cannot speak for other Muslims who are “under the radar”.

He also used the opportunity to promote Sharia law, which his sect would like to see replace British law. This which would see men and women segregated, homosexuality and promiscuity punishable with violence, and alcohol banned.

He then declared that “Islam is the solution to the credit crunch”.

He said: “Think about a system where food and clothing is provided for people. That is surely a system you want to live under?

“We cut off the hand of thieves and punish those who drink alcohol, but if you look at Islamic states, there are few reports of rape and crime is low.

“It is a very dangerous thing to grow up in the UK. Under Sharia law, people will be educated about the harm and evils of alcohol, promiscuity, homosexuality.”

Al-Muhajiroun keep cropping up in different guises, but the protest in Luton - which has a large Muslim population - proved they can only muster a couple of dozen fanatics. The Muslim community itself rejected these fanatics. This pro-terrorist cult of social lepers thrives on controversy and the best answer is to stop reporting on their lunatic statements and get the police to destroy Al-Muhajiroun and its front organisations once and for all.

Perhaps the Council could explain why they invited Hizb-ut-Tahrir, a group which narrowly avoided being banned after the July bombings, to last year's Mela in Aveling park, but banned the Friends of the William Morris Gallery from the Green Fair held there the previous week.

Most of the Muslim would does not have sharia, at least in criminal law. The only exceptions are Saudi Arabia, Iran and parts of Nigeria, which have complete sharia-compliant systems, and Afghanistan, Libya and Sudan, which have enacted sharia-compliant laws. The largest Muslim countries - Turkey, Indonesia, Bangladesh, etc - have secular systems of jurisprudence. So if the Muslim world has largely rejected sharia, why on earth doesn't Anjem Choudary take his arguments to Egypt? I doubt he'd be satisfied even if sharia was introduced - he and his ilk would then start killing each other over fiqh and whether to follow the Hanafi, Hanbali, Maliki, Shafii or Ja'afari schools. But if Choudary finds life here so difficult and miserable, I wonder why on earth he doesn't go and live with his friend the fake shaykh Omar Bakri Muhammad in sunny Lebanon. I'm not saying "send 'em home", but it is evident that Choudary and his friends are very unhappy and disturbed men who find living in a secular, multi-cultural non-Muslim society incredibly difficult.

This Anjem Choudary is a fool to muslims and himself. To the BNP he is, unwittingly, their best advocate. He should be prosecuted for inciting racial hatred (the victims are everyone.

How many women in the uk will knuckle down and wear burkhas? Ever since the days of the suffragettes, many of whom died for freedom for women; women in the uk have fought rightly for equality. I don't think they will easily accept going backwards 100 years.

inézc, Epping says...

I can't see myself submitting to wearing a burkha or taking the veil any time soon, and I can't think of very many other women I know who would. I agree with JackSpur; this is a wonderful recruitment campaign for the BNP. This is NOT an Islamic country - deal with it!

I think this is disgusting, that a national chain of hotels allowed this to happen in one of thier buildings.
Where were the police they should have been arrested for racial hate and insighting war.
Do these people realise that there are many Muslims in this country that are happy and just want to get on, it is not the general public that are making Muslims feel segregated it is the extermists within the Muslim communities that are doing it to themselves.

JackSpur, South Woodford says...

I wish the media would not give these extremist muslims that much publicity. Although i believe something has to be done about these extremists. Top solicitors should be looking into this to see if a case can be brought against them for inciting racial hatred. Its because of people like this mob asians in this country are finding it difficult to get on in ( i accept that are other reasons).

These People (Muslim extremists) are only the tip of the iceberg. If anyone has ever studied the Koran, you will find that ALL of Islam is dedicated to making Planet Earth a Muslim State. It is also not a sin to lie to or deceive the Kuffir (non Muslim) All of the Muslims in Britain expect us to kiss their backsides by teaching it in Schools, Serving their vile Halal meat in schools and other institutions. You only have to look at ANY Muslim country and see how Women, Animals, and anyone who does not accept their vile primitive and barbaric creed are treated. If these People want all of this they should be welcome, but... not in my country.
As someone said earlier, if the BNP were to do even a little of what these people are doing we would be severely punished even unto imprisonment. If they look after their own it is called looking after their own. If we Britons look after our own it is called RASCISM.
As for multi culturalism and diversity nobody asked us in form of a referrendum or vote if we wanted it and if the truth be known most of us certainly do not.
Here's to a BNP SUCCESS at The Euro elections
