The Station House and Bull and Crown have been closed by police following a series of raids

TWO more pubs have been closed by police after a series of dawn raids in Chingford to crack down on guns and drugs.

Officers have closed The Bull and Crown on The Green and The Station House in Station Road using powers under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Thursday.

The pubs will be closed for 28 days while their licenses are reviewed.

The Lush Bar, also in Station Road, was also closed by police following a raid on Wednesday.

The raid was part an operation which saw a number of properties in Chingford targeted by police on July 8

A total of 14 people were arrested.

The operation was the biggest of its type in the last three-and-a-half years and involved 100 officers.

Police seized guns, drug-related paraphernalia, stolen property and cash in the clampdown on organised crime.

It's about time something was done. The ones who deal are'nt worth anything anyway so they're better off being put away.

Three pubs closed in Station Road under the misuse of drugs act, the people of North Chingford are certainly bringing this borough down, such a shame the good people of leafy Walthamstow and Leyton are saddled with this Essex ghetto.

I am sure there will be many people in Walthamstow scratching their heads this evening wondering where they will have to go to score now that these places have been shut down.

police raided a home off 2 old poeple gave them a fright off the lifes, this seems to be a invite for every known drug dealer to make there way to chingford has it takes the police 14 months to do raids, then they get it wrong!! the man runnying the operation MR MARK BENBOW this is the same man that said there wasnt drugs in hackney ( say no more)when doing a raid why do it early hours? why not do this when the pub is full and if there is any drug dealers, catch them in the act.seems to me this has gone wrong are they going to pay back the pubs for loosing buisness,NO THEY WON'T, they are going to have to build themselfs up again which will take time !.times are hard enough has it is at the moment.

i agree in a way,but considering most people in chingford/stow/leyto
n like to have a puff isit really that bad??
at the end of the day no one forces people to buy drugs, they buy it becuase they want to.
we've all got our own minds.
most of the time people dont sell drugs to fuel gang crime
becuase alot of these dealers are working class men/females
your next door neighbour could be a dealer you never no.
its bad but atleast its not as bad as robberies, rape, murde
r
you never no you probably have a conversation in the highstreet with a dealer everyday not knowing.

people who do drugs have their own mind and choose to do whatever they wish. But when it effects the area ie crime fuelled to buy drugs. And IN the raid they found weapons drug dealling and guns go hand in hand so yes we are better of without these people and so is chingford

It is so good to see that since Labour relaxed Licensing Laws to the charge of the local council, the pubs in Waltham Forest seem to be run by people who make Ghengis Khan look civilised.

Is there anywhere in the Borough where a nice drop of Brown does not mean drugs?

Another great achievement by Blair and unelectable Brown

It is no suprise to anyone in north chingford that both of these appaling pubs have been caught out. Misplaced with arrogant and unpleasant customers I for one hope that don't open again as they were.

Why mess on your own patch when you can go and score in E4 and scuff up their postcode

drug dealing is rive all over, seems to be the only way off making a living if the pub owners are resulting to dealing drugs. perhaps if our country was to sort itself out,ie looking after its own, we would be a much happier, richer drug-freeish England
