SPURS goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini will be on crutches for up to 12 weeks after he leaves hospital, it has been confirmed.

The 36-year-old Italian crashed his £11,000 BMW motorbike into a Ford Fiesta in Forest Road on Thursday, breaking both wrists and injuring his pelvis.

He underwent surgery last night to his right wrist and pelvis and specialists are said to be 'extremely pleased' with the result.

Head of Medical Services Wayne Diesel said: "Carlo is in a lot less discomfort than before the operations and is in good spirits.

"The splint on his left wrist has been removed and he now has full use of this wrist."

Mr Cudicini will remain in hospital for a few more days and will then be on crutches for about 12 weeks.
