WALTHAMSTOW MP Stella Creasy is organising Question Time-style events to give constituents the opportunity to scrutinise her work.

Miss Creasy, who was elected in May, says the sessions will also enable residents to raise local concerns.

She said: "As the MP for Walthamstow I’m always looking for ways to make sure local residents are able to engage in the work I do.

"I also want to help them work with each other to achieve common ground for social action in Walthamstow.

"It’s been an amazing five months since I was elected as the MP for Walthamstow - from trying to get to grips with parliamentary procedure to trying to find an office or answer the phones and the 22,000 emails we have received.

"Working with others here in Walthamstow has always informed my work - whether organising our summer youth project, fighting for investment in local schools in Parliament or even lobbying with them for support for refugees and asylum seekers.

"To help that process I am seeking to hold regular public meetings through local organisations."
