A WALTHAMSTOW cafe has won an award for being disabled-friendly.
Freshalicious in Hoe Street was given the accolade by the Government under JobCentre Plus's 'two tick' scheme.
A spokeswoman from the Department for Work and Pensions said the cafe was popular with disabled people because of the attitude of its staff towards them.
Freshaliscious manager Javed Iqbal said: "We will now be able to use this disability symbol as a flag to show we have a positive attitude towards job applications from people with disabilities.
“You will soon see the symbol displayed on job adverts and application forms and letterheads.
“It means that we are positive about employing disabled people and will keep to the five commitments to employ, keep and develop the abilities of staff with disabilities.”
