WALTHAM FOREST: Drugs gang jailed

A GANG from Waltham Forest who flooded a town with cocaine and heroin have been jailed.

The four men and one woman travelled from east London to Maidstone to sell the drugs, using the house of Stephen Ingram, in Hart Street, Maidstone, as a supply base.

The group were sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court last week following a six month investigation by Kent Police.

Two men from Walthamstow and a 17-year-old from Leytonstone, who cannot be named, were jailed for conspiring to sell Class A drugs.

Ryan Rooney, 19, of Forest Road, Walthamstow, was given a two-and-a-half year sentence, while Mario Alberto Navacroft, 23, of Clifton Avenue,

Walthamstow, was jailed for one-and-a-half years. The 17-year-old was sentenced to 12 months in prison for dealing drugs and four months for possessing an offensive weapon, to run concurrently.

Detective Inspector Kris Hill of Kent CID said: "This was a London gang carrying out their illegal drugs operation on our doorstep and it needed to be stopped.

"It was a complex investigation, which involved careful planning to try and catch those involved in the supply of cocaine and heroin in the town.

"Intelligence led us to Ingram’s premises in Hart Street and once we had carried out a warrant, further pieces of the puzzle started to fall into place.

"The sentences given out are a clear indication of how serious the criminal justice system is in getting rid of drugs from our streets and we remain serious in catching those involved."

Other members of the gang were also jailed. Louis Ikechwuckw Ajufo, 24, of no fixed address, was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Sabrina Walcott, 25, of Caledonian Road, was jailed for five years.

Stephen Ingram, 34, pleaded guilty to a charge of allowing his premises to be used for the supply of class A drugs and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. Click here to follow the Waltham Forest Guardian on Twitter

Well at least they'll have time to pick up some tips while inside in ways to avoid getting caught next time.
They will soon be back out selling again.
