A 13-YEAR-OLD robbery victim was saved from further harm after a passerby intervened.
The boy was waiting at a bus stop outside Leytonstone Underground Station in Church Lane when he was approached at around 4pm on Wednesday (June 29).
Three youths, described as being aged between 13 and 23 years old, forced him into a nearby car park, before trying to rob him.
But a passer-by alerted a police Safer Neighbourhoods Team, which was patrolling nearby.
They chased all three robbers, who have now been bailed pending further inquiries.
A police spokesman said: “The Police Community Support Officers were in the right place at the right time.
“This is an excellent example of their confidence and professionalism.”
