A PLAQUE is to be unveiled at the childhood home of jazz legend Sir Johnny Dankworth.
The saxophonist, who died last year, grew up in Hollywood Way, Woodford Green, where a plaque will be placed by Waltham Forest Council today.
Sir John played with jazz icons such as Charlie Parker and scored a number of films.
He has been described as the UK’s “first major jazz musician” by Jazzwise magazine.
