THE trial has begun of a man who allegedly murdered his ex-partner and then buried her in an allotment.
Sinclair Lewis, 54, denies killing mother-of-one Julie Dorsett, 33, and dumping her body in Low Hall Farm Allotments in Bridge Road, Walthamstow.
Ms Dorsett, who was from Hackney, was last seen at a family friend's home in Stoke Newington back in 2002.
She was classed as a missing person until some of her bones and skull were discovered at the Walthamstow site in August 2008.
Mr Lewis, of Teignmouth in Devon, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday (Monday February 6) for the start of the case.
He also denies one count of unlawful burial of a dead body.
