A POPULAR weekly jam night for jazz music fans moves to a new venue in the borough tonight.
Little Bread Big Jam will hold sessions at the Lord Rookwood pub in Cann Hall Road, Leytonstone, every Wednesday from today (February 22) onwards.
The club, part of the borough's thriving underground jazz scene which includes groups such as the E17 Jazz Collective and the Eastside Jazz Club, was previously based at the Heathcote Arms in Leytonstone.
Organiser Annie Dehaney-Steven said the club no longer liked the Heathcote as a venue and was looking forward to welcoming all jazz musicians, singers and fans to the new regular slot.
She added: "The Lord Rookwood has a reputation for being a foremost jazz venue largely due to the work of the Eastside club [based at the pub] run by Clive Fenner.
"We are not connected to Eastside except by venue, but hope that Eastside and ourselves can work well together."
Doors open at 8pm and entry is £4.
