I would just like to say a big thank you to the lady who went out of her way to help me on the Sunday morning before Christmas.
I am disabled and use a mobility scooter and was shopping in a very busy Sainsbury’s in Loughton, struggling with a basket full of groceries.
This lady, who I think was with her daughter and granddaughter, was behind me at the checkout and she reached over and took the groceries out of the basket and onto the conveyor belt for me.
Then, she even packed some of them into the back of my scooter.
It was very nice of her to do that for me, especially at what must be a very busy time for her as well.
There are still lots of very nice, decent people about.
Even when they are busy themselves, they are still prepared to put themselves out to help someone less fortunate.
I hope she had a very happy Christmas.
Brian Dean, Hillyfields, Loughton.
