The November 21 issue of the Waltham Forest Guardian had a very interesting letter to the editor. Cllr Clyde Loakes, deputy leader of the council, was asked by a local citizen, Mr Tiratsoo, to clarify his role in the collapse of E11 BID Co for which he had acted as director at the time “the wheels came off”.
Presented with a number of interesting questions, Mr Loakes was asked to clarify not only his own role in the fiasco but also that of the council. Politicians, whose activities are questioned, are usually very quick to defend themselves. Therefore it surprises me that I am still waiting for Mr Loakes’ clarification. Clyde, is there any reason for the delay? I am looking forward to your answer.
