Epping Forest Youth Councillor Jaymey McIvor is Speaking Out

East London and West Essex Guardian Series: Call for park and ride in Epping Call for park and ride in Epping

A youth councillor is calling for a park and ride scheme in the district to relieve the parking problems experienced by both commuters and residents.

This week 15-year-old Jaymey Mcivor is Speaking Out.

After working with the Neighbourhood Action Panel the Epping St John’s School pupil has suggested that North Weald would be the ideal place for a park and ride bus service to Epping.

He said: “So many people complain about commuter parking as well as the fact that traffic in Epping town is very bad.

“A park and ride scheme will mean that all of those people who travel from far places such as Harlow, Brentwood, Bishops Stortford will be able to park at North Weald.

“Residents will be able to park outside their front door when they get home.”
