Conspiracy to bring Chigwell to standstill

East London and West Essex Guardian Series: Conspiracy to bring Chigwell to standstill Conspiracy to bring Chigwell to standstill

I was interested to read the excuses made by Essex County Council for the continued lengthy road works to the bridge on Roding Lane, and to express my (and no doubt many other motorists) exasperation for this ineptitude.

However, if long delays at this road works are not enough to frustrate the poor motorist, there are new road works which have appeared in the last few days a) on Palmerston Road in the vicinity of Buckhurst Hill station, b) on Hainault Road and Chigwell High Road near Chigwell Station, c) in the proximity of West Hatch School, d) at the intersection of Manor Road and Tomswood Road.

These simultaneous road works causing long delays can only be construed as a conspiracy by the council to bring the whole of Chigwell to a standstill and to drive the poor down-trodden motorist into a frenzy of road rage.
