Two weeks ago I saw a letter from Lee Scott MP which proudly stated it had been paid for by parliamentary expenses, meaning us the tax payer!
In this letter Mr Scott talks about 'ridiculous rumours' and 'deliberate misinformation' being spread about our local health service before trying to calm us down with what seems like some party political propaganda. I would love to know who these scaremongers are spreading the misinformation because the actual situation is very straight-forward.
On the Tories' watch at King George Hospital we have seen maternity closed and the A&E will be gone by 2015. Meanwhile Queens fails to meet its targets and BHRUT, the hospital trust, is in special measures. I don't advise any one to hold their breath for any real action as a result of Mr Scott's campaign to protect A&E services at King George.
If any of these facts are down to poor understanding, a misinterpretation or deliberate misinformation I will be pleased to be corrected.
