I am trying to find information regarding my father.

His name is David Henry John Windsor. He was born at 77 Grove Park Road, Tottenham, on November 25 1919.

He joined the British Army, the Dorsetshire Regiment. He served in Libya and Malta during the Second World War.

In Malta, he met and married a Maltese lady. After the war, he was posted to Germany. I am not sure where, but possibly the Rhine region.

He left the army in about 1964 and lived and worked in Malta until about 1968. He then left the family home in Malta and went to Germany. The family has heard nothing from him since then.

Recently, we have obtained information that he returned to England and during the late 1980s to early 1990s, he was living and working in or around Waltham Forest – particularly Walthamstow and Chingford – and Edmonton.

I believe he was a coach driver during those years, for a firm called Macy’s, or a similar name.

This is all the information I have. I have included photos, hoping someone will recognise him and be able to give me information as to his whereabouts, or whether he is now deceased, as I would like to pay my respects to him, dead or alive.

I was an adopted child and in 2008 I found my birth mother in Malta, but it would also be wonderful to have news of my father, who I have not seen since I was a baby.

If anyone can help me in any way, please contact me.
