I would like to bring to your attention that Labour have been posting leaflets through residents doors that take credit for increasing police numbers in the borough of Walthamstow. I am aghast that a party can take credit for something that Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, has in fact done for us. He happens to be Conservative, or am I splitting hairs?

Firstly, the borough that your husband represents is Waltham Forest and not Walthamstow.

Secondly, Boris approves policing but he would not have increased numbers if Labour had not started a very effective campaign.

The campaign was cross-party and those of us who support Boris might have had more of a say behind closed doors than we get credit for!
