Residents in Higham Hill are asking that their access remains guaranteed to all forms of local public transport with universal Freedom Passes in their golden years.
It is vitally important for our growing local senior population to stay physically and socially active for as long as possible, as age is no longer a barrier to life enjoyment and days out.
I ask that seniors from 60 onwards should have an inalienable right to continue enjoying their free journeys across London. It is therefore important for our mayor and government to recognise that Freedom Passes must continue to apply to the widest public transport daily usage, for all individual residents, from age 60 years onwards.
