Helen Coughlan lives in Highfield Road, Woodford Bridge, and is involved in a long-standing dispute with her neighbour over an illegal extension that has damaged her home.

The 52-year-old is calling for more checks in the planning process to make sure this does not happen again, stressing the responsibility of the council in looking after tax-paying residents.

Agree entirely Helen. I just wonder what other course this sorry saga would have taken if Redbridge Council had required their planning enforcement officers to carry out their paid duties rather than disappearing to Australia for six weeks at a time.
