There is an increased demand in health and dental care from new homes. Our local GP heath clinics in Sinnot Road, Claremont and Higham Hill Road are seriously over subscribed.

Many new residents in Higham Hill are now reporting that they cannot register as new patients at GP surgeries or find local dental care for their young children.

Hard working GPs like Dr Elizabeth Sui at Sinnott Road and Dr Gupta in the GP surgery in Claremont Road are performing miracles on a daily basis when opening their very limited premises to respond to the 5,000 new patients and the existing high numbers of the medically dependent population.

Higham Hill, due to the high expansion in social housing and now the prospect of the new Billet Works estate, in Billet Road, is now a very densely built neighbourhood.

The people of Higham Hill are in desperate need of a new build 21st family heath centre, with a nursing out-reach ancillary community health network, to cope with the new daily demand.

It is an inalienable entitlement of each individual resident to register and access to a local GP and dentist and our local residents in Higham Hill deserve their human rights.
