I can only agree with Chris Duran that it was and is the Liberal Democrats nationally (Nick Clegg) who have let down the local activists in this and many boroughs up and down the country.

I was a candidate for the Liberal Democrats previously but quit the party in 2010 after they increased tuition fees despite campaigning not too. I did not want to be labeled as many politicians are as a 'liar', Going into coalition with the 'NASTY" tories was a decision I could not support and I have been proven correct, many of my former colleagues point to the decreasing income tax. However, that goes nowhere in the face of increasing fuel costs, higher VAT, raising rents etc. I do however retain my Liberal ideals and despair that now the Labour party has a total free reign in this borough as the Tories will be no opposition at all.

I am amazed that Nick Clegg and others have said they will not change course, well I'm afraid after massive losses in the Local and European elections they are on course for massive losses in the general election next year.
