A few years ago as a result of placing a letter in your newspaper, I found an old Walthamstow friend named Arthur Brown after 50 years of wondering where he was now.
Unfortunately, after travelling from my home in Perth Australia to Cornwall where he was then living and having a reunion he has passed away.
I am 76 now and there are still a few loose ends from my childhood that I want cleared up.
I am looking for old school friends and playmates from the Callis Road/Ringwood Road areas and in particular my 1952 leaving class at Markhouse Road secondary modern school.
A few names are Derek Rose, Peter Lipman and a host of others from Miss Townsend’s class around 1952.
They would all be around 75 or 76 years old now if they are still alive.
