After petitioning the local council for two years regarding the dangerous and deteriorating condition of Beech Avenue in Buckhurst Hill, where the road is pock marked with at least 15 potholes up to three inches deep and five feet wide, I am delighted to report a success of sorts.
Essex highways have appeared with two pots of Tarmac – enough to fill one of the holes.
At this rate, the road will once again be safe for residents in time for the centenary celebrations marking the end of the Falklands war.
