Ian Tarrant is the Rector at St Mary’s Church in High Road, South Woodford.
In August, when the world was remembering the centenary of the start of the First World War, rector Tarrant started a campaign to collect the names of those who died in the Second World War and recent conflicts.
The reason being is that the war memorial in the church grounds includes a general inscription for both world wars and the names of First World War victims' are engraved on a plaque in the memorial garden.
But for the Second World War and more recent conflicts, there is no mention of those who sacrificed their lives.
He is appealing to the community for them to come forward with the names of people from Woodford so they can be remembered at the church with a plaque.
