A charity which has been providing support for some of the capital’s most disadvantaged children for over 80 years is hoping raise money for future events in Chingford.
Shoppers will be greeted by a black cab in a full bunny cover if they visit Low Hall Sainsbury’s on March 28 and 29 as the London Taxi Drivers’ Fund for Underprivileged Children pays a visit to the store.
Founded in 1928 the charity is well known for its outings to the seaside when convoys of London taxis decked in balloons and banners take excited children and their helpers for a fun day out.
The rabbit cab will be parked at Low Hall Sainsbury’s in Walthamstow Avenue, Chingford over the last weekend of the month, raising money for future events – including the famous outing to Southend-on-sea in July.
The LTFUC is one of Sainsbury’s chosen charities this year.
