Today is the 1st anniversary of the death of Bob Crow, general Secretary of the RMT. Bob was brought to Whipps Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Many of the portes and staff who work at the hospital had heard Bob speak at public meetings in Walthamstow where he advocated a political alternative to the Conservative /Labour stranglehold on British and Westminster politics. He said there wasn´t much more than a cigarette paper between the main parties policies. In supporting and foundingTUSC he wanted to give workers their families and those surviving on low incomes a genuine voice in parliament.
Ii is therefore fitting and appropriate that TUSC (Trade Union Socialist Coalition) have nominated a candidate in the forthcoming general election in the constituency Bob Crow lived in. He would have supported the candidacy of Len Hockey a consistent defender of workers rights at Whipps X Hospital for many years. What Mr.Hockey will lack in funds to fight his election camapign will be more than adequately compensated for by his record of honesty and integrity down the years Based on information supplied by Maurice Sheehan (former resident of 46 Turner Rd E17 3JQ.
