Between Friday 17th April and Sunday 19th April 2015 GLL, operators of Better Facilities in partnership with the London Borough of Waltham Forest hosted the Swimathon Challenge at Chingford and Leytonstone Leisure Centres to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.
In total 116 people of all ages across Waltham Forest took part in the Swimathon including three people which have completed Swimathon every year for 27 years! This should truly inspire others to get involved in swimming at look to join us for the Swimathon in 2016.
There is a Swimathon Challenge to suit everyone, 1.5K, 2.5K and 5K Paul Hadley, Aquatics Manager for GLL, Waltham Forest said “GLL are delighted to support the Swimathon event, working to raise money for charity. I look forward to seeing even more participants in 2016!”
