A children’s charity which provides one-on-one support for kids in schools is asking for more volunteers to come forward.
Therapeutic play workers are being sought by Waltham Forest charity Carefree Kids.
Since 2004, the organization has been providing emotional support to children through weekly therapeutic play sessions.
People from all walks of life are invited to apply and can offer any spare time from one hour per week.
There is currently a shortage of retired, semi-retired and male volunteers.
Carefree Kids founder, Ros Kane said: “It is a real privilege to work with families “In Waltham Forest and surrounding boroughs, seeing the transformation of the kids we work with makes our jobs worthwhile.
“We are indeed a charity with a great cause. As a volunteer you will be fully trained through a comprehensive training programme in our unique learning and resource centre, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will also be arranged for each volunteer.”
