The tallest sunflower in Epping will be announced after August 31
Free seeds are being offered to participants in a sunflower-growing competition.
Packs of seeds can be picked up from Epping Hall in St Johns Road courtesy of Epping in Bloom, which is organising the competition.
Entries for the tallest flower can be submitted by emailing a picture of the fully grown plant along with its height measurements to eppinginbloom@gmail.com by August 31.
Epping in Bloom was formed in March with funding from the town council, with the aim to brighten parts of the town centre with new displays and floral competitions.
