Pupils from a primary school enjoyed free sports lessons at the Olympic Park this week.
The four to 11-year-olds from Coppice Primary School in Manford Way, Chigwell, joined more than 500 other youngsters from across London, Essex and Hertfordshire at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park both yesterday (May 19) afternoon and this morning.
Students also enjoyed free hockey and tennis coaching sessions at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre as part of its annual Schools Festival.
The event was hosted by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority in partnership with the venue operators Lee Valley Leisure Trust.
Del Goddard, Lee Valley Leisure Trust Chairman said: “Hundreds of young people have had the chance to try hockey and tennis for free over the last two days.
"For the majority of them, it will have been the first time that they have played these sports and we hope that they will be inspired by their experience at this fantastic venue."
