A wildlife conservation group is calling on the help of residents in a bio-blitz of parks and green spaces in Wanstead.
The Wren Wildlife Group will attempt to find and count as many species of wildlife and plants as possible in Wanstead Park and Wanstead Flats from June 26 to 28.
The weekend of free activities kicks off with a night-time bat walk and moth count in Wanstead Park on June 26.
Pond-dipping, a dawn chorus walk, bug searches and walks to find butterflies, dragonflies and wildflowers will then take place over the rest of the weekend.
