Armed Forces Day celebrations are set to take place this weekend.
The Armed Forces Day flag will be raised outside Redbridge Town Hall in a ceremony at around 11am this Sunday (June 28).
Before that, a parade will be led by the Band of the Scots Guards from 10.45am in High Road, Ilford and proceed towards the town hall.
The Redbridge council-organised event will conclude with speeches.
Cllr Barbara White, Mayor of Redbridge, said: “The extraordinary work that our armed forces do now and have done in the past cannot be overestimated.
“We are proud to celebrate Armed Forces Day and we hope that residents of Redbridge will join with us for this important event.”
