Students recently visited the bustling metropolitan city of Paris to examine the operators working behind the scenes at one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world.
Travel and Tourism students from Waltham Forest College in Forest Road, Walthamstow gained first-hand experience as they researched the operational procedures of coach line operators, accommodation providers and visitor attractions within the French capital.
The group also had the opportunity to visit an array of attractions including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the River Seine, Arc de Triomphe and Jardins du Trocadero.
Tom Vittles, learning manager for the course said: "Students were able to experience theory learnt in a classroom setting within a practical environment.
"In addition to this they were able to undertake research into the appeal of a European city destination to different visitor types.”
