A roadshow aiming to spread knowledge and awareness about dementia has been supported by Eleanor Laing.
The Conservative MP joined the Dementia Community Roadshow as it visited St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping, providing information about the degenerative disease to members of the public.
Almost 2,000 people in Epping Forest have dementia, and people with concerns about their memory or that of their family members were invited to attend a consultation.
Mrs Laing said: “We know that getting a timely diagnosis and accessing post-diagnosis support is key to ensuring that people with dementia, their families and carers have the best life possible with this terrible disease.
“I thank the Alzheimer’s Society for the important work they do in educating people about dementia and giving advice and support to sufferers and their families.
“They make a real difference to people’s lives.”
