Primary school pupils have visited flower beds that they designed for a popular road in April.
The four to 11-year-olds from five Epping Forest primary schools visited the raised flower beds, which they designed earlier this year as part of an 'Epping in Bloom' project to brighten the town, in Tower Road, Epping, on Monday (June 29).
Students from Coopersale Hall School, Theydon Garnon Primary School, Epping Primary School, Ivy Chimneys Primary School and Epping St John's School all entered designs.
A grassed area by the town sign at the Tower Road and High Road junction now features five raised flower beds and troughs.
A selection of ‘floral bottles' designed by the younsters are also on display on the road and at Epping's Tesco store.
Epping in Bloom chairman Victoria Robertson said: "I hope that by seeing the 'flower bottle' designs local people will be inspired to copy the idea in their own garden.
"The bottles require no watering yet look so vibrant and pretty. It is also a lovely way to teach children about recycling."
