The Reverend Peter Smith was presented with a new stole by the church Sunday club
A celebration marking 15 years of service from the rector of Waltham Abbey Church was held last week.
A special service was held on Sunday (June 28) for the Reverend Peter Smith, who started as a priest in 2000 at the church in Highbridge Street.
The church’s Sunday club presented the rector with a card and a new handmade stole, a special garment worn by priests.
Church warden Richard Walters said: “It was a splendid service and the Sunday club did very well with their lovely gift.”
