A flower arrangement to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain is set to be installed in Loughton.
Loughton Town Council are set to install the self-watering flower planter with a memorial inscription to mark the falling of the first bomb and fatalities in the London Civil Defence area later this month.
The display, which was purchased by the council for £525.50 last week, will be installed outside a public car park in The Drive, Loughton.
The planting will be done by the council’s grounds maintenance service as part of the seasonal planting displays around the town.
A short ceremony alongside relatives of the casualties is set to take place on July 26.
