A new 'affordable' counselling service is set to launch later this year, it has been announced.
Affordable Counselling Epping Forest, a charity which offers cheaper counselling for individuals aged 18 and over, will launch at St John’s Church in High Road, Epping, on October 27.
Sessions, which started running this month ahead of the official launch, range around £5 depending on the financial circumstances of the client.
Up to eight sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, are available at The Box in St John’s Road, Epping, on Thursday mornings.
Counselling is provided by Dawn Humberstone, a fully qualified and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited councillor.
Charity chairman Jane Walters said: “Therapy offers a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable.
“It allows individuals to talk with someone trained to listen attentively and to help the person improve their situation.”
