A sailing club is inviting the public to attend an open day and a reuninion for former members.
Established more than 40 years ago, volunteer-led King George sailing Club in Lea Valley Road, Chingford, provides dinghy sailing and windsurfing on the largest reservoir in London.
The open day will take place at the club situated besides the King Geroge V Reservoir on July 25 from 11am to 4pm.
Current members enjoy racing, learning to sail, casual sailing and windsurfing and the club has been awarded the Volvo Champion Club status and is a recognised RYA Training Centre.
A reunion for former members will start from midday.
The reservoir and the nearby William Girling Reservoir are known collectively as the Chingford Reservoirs, and are owned and managed by Thames Water.
