An award winning actor has been included in the line up for a free Walthamstow festival.

Clive Rowe will join Walthamstow Acoustic Massive (WAM) on stage for a surprise performance at Walthamstow Garden Party this Saturday.

Rowe is best known for his role as Norman "Duke" Ellington in BBC Children's drama The Story of Tracy Beaker.

He was nominated for the Olivier Award three times and won for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in the National Theatre revival of Guys and Dolls.

Walthamstow Acoustic Massive (WAM) has been invited to perform for a second consecutive year at Walthamstow Garden Party, 2015.

WAM’s first concert as part of the BBC Music Day in Walthamstow drew a large audience.

The group was created three-years-ago by Alison Jones and Dick Smith, ho wanted to provide a way for adults living in Walthamstow and the surrounding areas to re- discover their love for music by teaching the violin, banjo and ukulele.

The Barbican and Create have joined forces with Waltham Forest Council to deliver the two day festival, this weekend.
